I was having the hardest time trying to come up with different snack options for Dominic that are nutritious and delicious. Not to mention he’s a little picky.. So I decided to put together a little list of snacks that he’s been enjoying lately! Anything underlined is linked either to the recipe or to purchase.
Click the link above for Dominic’s favorite Spinach Banana muffins! These are so easy to make and Dominic LOVES them. They’re great for a snack but I also use them as breakfast, too!
Frozen Yogurt Melts
Dominic didn’t like the yogurt melts that you can buy at the store, but I came across an idea to make your own at home. I tried it, and he loved it! First, line a plate or tray with parchment paper. Then take your baby’s favorite yogurt and spoon little bits onto the parchment paper. Put in the freezer until frozen. This was a perfect little treat and so easy to do!
I have’t tried this one yet, but it sounds delicious! They’re made with just a few simple ingredients, I don’t know how you could go wrong! Click the link for the recipe!
Hummus
I was surprised to find that Dominic really loved hummus! I’ll usually give him some crackers as well to dip.
Apple Sauce, Berries, Watermelon
Dominic can be really picky when it comes to fruit. I try to give him different fruits as snacks and switch it up, but it’s really a gamble on if he’ll eat it. These are a few that I can usually get him to eat.
I’ve never tried these with Dominic, but I’ve been meaning to! He loves crunchy snacks, so I think he would like these.
Puffs are a classic snack that Dominic loves!
Lately, veggie straws have been a favorite snack around here! They’re a little on the salty side for my taste, but Dominic really loves them so we have them sometimes!
Earth’s Best Organic Cereal Bars
These are great especially when we’re out and about. They’re individually packaged, so they’re great to throw in the diaper bag. Click the link to buy!
Dominic loves cheese, so this is always a good go to. I’ll usually buy cheddar squares and cut them into the appropriate size or let him hold and take bites.
